Body types, trailers and dimensions: choosing a freight vehicle

The word truck does not describe all of a vehicle's capabilities. Structure, dimensions, equipment and loading method matter. REISNO treats these as separate specifications.

Start with the body type

Body type narrows the search: tarpaulin or curtainsider, closed box, refrigerated body, platform or specialist equipment. Choose according to the freight requirements. A category name does not establish every property of a particular vehicle; check the description and confirm details.

Check configuration and trailer type

A rigid truck, van and tractor with semi-trailer are different configurations. Trailer type adds detail: standard, Mega, low-bed, extendable and others. Use the actual vehicle's dimensions rather than assumed standard sizes.

Compare every dimension

For an item measuring 6 × 2.4 × 2.5 m, these values become minimum body dimensions in vehicle search. Sufficient total volume cannot compensate for inadequate width. The system does not automatically calculate placement or rotation of freight.

Add the equipment you need

Determine loading method, temperature range and additional requirements before making contact. Filters match declared specifications. Confirm actual suitability, documents, door openings, securing points and transport conditions with the carrier.

Save a search for regular shipments

For recurring shipments, save the filter set with a clear name. Check dates and route before using it again. For mixed consignments, do not reuse the previous shipment's specifications without checking.
